TrEES Programmes Are Supported By;

Climate Change and Biodiversity Programme for Schools

This innovative programme has been running for 10 years. The school community provides an ideal group as the school is a large, yet controlled community, which consumes large amounts of resources to meet its needs for energy, water and daily consumables

Under the programme, TrEES provides training to assist the school project teams to develop and implement hands-on projects to reduce their contribution to climate change and biodiversity loss. Some of the projects implemented by the participating schools include biodiversity awareness projects, native gardens, composting, energy and water conservation and recycling.

Our programme emphasizes the development of valuable skills within the student project teams including project management, communication, human resource, financial and reporting skills, which are essential towards the building of a young generation of leaders for the nation.
