Over 16,000 Signatures Collected Objecting to the Construction of the EKVE!

September 01, 2014
sep01-img1.jpgThe Coalition for the Protection of the Selangor State Park has collected over 16,000 signatures objecting to the construction of the EKVE through the Selangor State Park and other forest reserves.  Signatures have been submitted to the Chief Minister of Selangor.  As the EKVE is a federal project, signatures have also been submitted to the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

TrEES would like to say thank you to everyone who signed the petition, both on-line or in person, calling on both the Federal and State Government to stop the construction of the EKVE through the Selangor State Park and other forest reserves.

While the support from the Malaysian public is encouraging, the effort is not over. Concerned residents and businesses of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur need to keep voicing our objection to the construction of the EKVE through water catchment forests.
