Happy 8th Anniversary Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor

January 25, 2015
It has been 8 years since the Selangor State Government gazetted the Selangor State Park, or Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor, as a ‘state park’ under the National Forestry Act Selangor Enactment, on 25 Jan. 2007.

We would like to express our thanks to the Park, for all the resources it provides to us, including clean water, fresh air, flood control and a home to a vast number of animals and plants, including the magnificent Klang Gates Quartz Ridge.

We would also like to express our thanks to all the people and organisations that care for the park and are helping to keep it protected and sustainably managed.  That includes the 16,000 individuals who signed the recent petition to help protect the Park.

We especially hope that the Selangor State Government and the Selangor Forestry Department will continue to recognize the important role this forest plays.   Without this Park, we cannot have the economic development and quality of life in Selangor that we enjoy now.

Thank you, Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor for protecting us.  Thank you everyone, for helping to keep it protected.  This Park is truly our living heritage!
