Our partners
Young Voices for Conservation manages to reach out to the youth with diverse interests. This is in part due to the expertise and passion that is brought into the programme by TrEES and our partners who are experts in their field. In this way, students are introduced to agencies that manage our forests and water, learning from their years of experience. In 2011, TrEES introduced financial management as a critical aspect to the programme.
The school programme has the approval of the Ministry of Education and is run in partnership with the Forestry Department of Selangor and the Selangor Water Management Agency. Both government agencies provide the personnel and technical expertise to run the forest and water components of the prorgamme.
AFFINBANK in addition to providing funding for the programme, provides the technical expertise to run the financial training component for the student project teams. Staff from AFFINBANK also provide input into the programme, participate in all the activities run during the programme and are part of the team that evaluate the effectiveness of the campaigns run by the students.
The investment by AFFINBANK in this programme is providing immeasurable benefits for the students who are participating, as well as for the nation, producing a generation of creative and confident young leaders who factor in environmental care in their undertakings for the betterment of the nation.
TrEES would like to thank the Ministry of Education, Departments of Education Selangor, KL and Putrajaya for approving and supporting the programme. TrEES would also like to thank the Forestry Department of Selangor and LUAS for working with TrEES in this programme. TrEES would also like to thank Affin Bank for their financial and technical support of this programme.
